The thumbnail for this recolour in CAS says it’s broken but it’s not, I just don’t know how to fix it!! So if you were wondering what was keeping the dog fur tutorial so long, the answer is this. Part way through, I was stuck with a thought: What if puppies could have accessory furs? Naturally, I just had to test it out, and I am so pleased to announce that it worked! So I made Pooklet recolors of each one: beards, brows, long tailbrushes, and poodle puffs. Then I went ahead and made them in Maxis fur colors as well. Even better, the Maxis ones are slaved, so if you use default replacements such as @lady-banes-sandbox‘s fur defaults, then they will use those textures instead.
During my testing, these puppy conversions had extremely minor clipping issues, with the poodle conversions being the worst contender (still minor, but to be fair even the Maxis adult poodles have clipping issues). Also, poodle puppies all use the perky ear poodle mesh. They are all genetic, so if your puppy inherited an accessory fur then you’ll know upon their birth. I separated all the recolors into different folders based on accessory fur in case there were those who would like to pick and choose which are available in game.
These do have only one requirement to appear. That would be my MaxisAccFurDogFix. Just in case you don’t already have it, I went ahead and included it with the download.

Simply download the Puppy Kit in the link below, then follow Steps 14 to 24 of Part 2: Dogs, but using the templates and overlays from the puppy kit instead. You can find the puppy templates under elder females in bodyshop. The templates also share the same family as the templates in the adult version of the tutorial, so if both templates are in your downloads at the same time, they will recolor at the same time into one package.
I really liked kitteninthewindow’s custom pet furs in Pooklet’s colors – a lot more than I liked a lot of Maxis’ colors! I set out to default a few and once I realized how (relatively) easy it was, I made a whole bunch! You can only have one default per pet color, and also these won’t work with custom pet eyes (for some reason, pet eyes use the same textures as furs. Why Maxis did this, we’ll never know). They will still work if you have the custom version of the furs in your game, but then you’ll have duplicates obviously.
I’ll drop a tutorial on how to make your own fur defaults, if anyone is interested. I’ll definitely being doing default dog furs as well. Hopefully I’ll have them up this week or the next, depending on how real-life stuff is going. In the meantime, if anyone wants any other colors defaulted, just let me know!
All the colors for each type are included in the download folder, but again, only choose one default per color!

Slaved to the original Smoogo Minima that came with NL takes all recolors and default colors your game has for The Smoogo Minima. sadly the sign is not recolourable so there are two cars but they both are slaved and take defaults as previously mentioned.
you don’t need the originals to use mine in fact I wouldn’t recommend it sice they had a few issues although they can be used with mine although there is no point.
